Seriously...Not a good start to my Monday....
Now this may not be a particularly lovely picture. Especially with someones car in the background but lets just take a look shall we? This is MY bamboo. Mine...in my office. MINE MINE MINE. That being said...MAYBE I should be responsible for it's care? Read the sign people. This bamboo is my property and it has a lot of stupid significance to it...I do not want it to die. So I would prefer if you would stop watering it with your dirty janitorial water supply. It doesn't need watered....it needs you to leave it alone! You are not a Botanist, you do not have a degree in Horticulture. There for you should not be watering my plant...WITH YOUR DIRTY SOPPY SMELLY CLEANING RAG WATER.
Thank you,
The Loving Bamboo Caretaker
***Proper care of bamboo states that water should come just one inch above the base of the stalk. One inch above the roots. (In case you ever want to purchase your own bamboo for recreational or home usage).

Baby Crack and Tylenol Obsession

I am job. I'm sorry the position has been filled.
This is a pastel version of Mrs. Doubtfire. Why you may ask? All I can think of when I look at this is Robin Williams sitting in the unemployment office saying: I do a great impression of a hot dog.
Although I have to say...the bebes is cuter and much less hairy than Robin Williams. Thank goodness!

Fade to Gray
The "Non-Facebook Lindsey can't count" 25 Things about Me:
1. I hate licking envelopes. I detest it with every being in my body. When I'm rich and notorious I will hire someone to do this for me. (Hold your breath!)
2. I drink at least 2 cans of Coke Zero in a day. If only Diet Coke is offered I tend to drink less but not because I dislike it…it just happens to quench my thirst better.
3. I'm a self proclaimed wine snob.
4. I hate Jordon Almonds and I usually make mention of this when I'm consuming them by the handfuls.
5. I think if I focused and put my mind to it I could be a really great children's book author.
6. I love wearing jeans and dress shoes with little to no heel…I think it's like a 'slightly dressed up mom thing?'
7. I am convinced that whatever stage of life my daughter is in it's the best stage thus far.
8. I'm an obsessive re-reader. I cannot read a good book just once and I rarely read new material I'm just so engrossed with my own 'classics.'
9. I love Mexican food. Most of my Hispanic friends claim that I am more Mexican than they are and that I cook better than their mothers…
10. Most people see movies to avoid reading the book; I see movies that inspire me to read the book.
11. I am exceptionally good at making appetizers, dips and soups. Main meat entrees are not something I suggest you have me try.
12. I am constantly fighting the worlds stereotypes to not be labeled as a mother before say woman, wife, artist, Christian, peg legger, Mexican food eater. I'm much more than just one thing.
13. The first meal Dave ever 'made' for me was a pre-made stuffed green peppers. He served it with apple juice. We are meant to grow old together.
14. The first meal I ever cooked for Dave was supposed to be parmesan crusted chicken. It turned into some sort of over salted dry cut of chicken. I think we went out to eat afterwards.
15. Because I was never allowed to view the Internet at home during my formative years I'm now overly obsessed with everything associated with the World Wide Web. I also used to sneak online when my parents weren't home and look at sites like Hotmail and AOL. I was such a rebel.
16. I don't hate anyone. I will never tell a person I hate them. It's against everything I believe.
17. I am a gynormous Sci-Fi geek. Take me to another planet galaxy or goofy town in America. I love it. No scary sci-fi though. I'm not mature enough to understand that its fiction.
18. Until I got married my toenails were painted…always. Was this some sort of ploy to get a man? Does Dave know or care that they aren't painted?
19. I just got a super fabulous really cool new Digital SLR camera which I'm slowly learning how to use. My subject(s) tend to be the bebes, Dave and our cats. I need to branch out!
20. I am and always will be terribly frustrated with people who feel entitled to certain things because they assume they are better than me or you or your brother.
21. If I was left unmanaged and uncontrolled I would hang pictures and art work on every available wall space in our house.
22. I actually like watching other people play video games. I could do it for hours on end.
23. In the past few months I started blogging and I'm now obsessed with it. I'm also obsessed with reading other peoples blogs. OBSESSED. It's normal.
24. I would love to speak many different languages I'm just not disciplined to learn at home. Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Finnish and German are on the top of my list.
25. Rude restaurant patrons are a huge pet peeve of mine. Waiters are there to provide a service not to be your servant!
26. I can play 5 different instruments.
27. I don't drink enough water in a day according to recommended guidelines.
28. I am required by employment to answer the phone so when I'm not working I rarely do.
29. I thought this 25 things on Facebook 'thing' was kinda lame but now that I'm doing it and it's not on Facebook I'm really getting into it. Although I will not tag anyone; and just to really you know 'show them' I'm posting more than 25...so HA!
30. In the past five years my favorite color has changed from hot pink to teal and has now settled on gray. Who picks gray as their favorite color? *raises hand*
31. Coffee to me is a treat not a daily expectation.
32. When I was in college friends of mine had neighbors who put a big sign on their window that said "Happy Birthday Lemons!" Even though I wasn't part of the story at all I still feel a strong urge to say "Happy Birthday Lemons" to random people.
33. I crave homemade chicken pot pie at least once a week and rarely make it.
34. I'm overly self aware of (some) areas I need improvement in. I'm very focused on examining myself, my thoughts and my beliefs.
35. I find #34 exhausting and extremely rewarding if and when I grow as a person.

Grace in Small Things #20
2. Working out for the first time in awhile...finally awake,
energized and healthy enough to jump back into it!
3. Pickles and iced tea...and no I swear I'm not pregnant.
4. I'm soooo excited to do a little shopping tomorrow after
work...although it's sad I consider "errands" shopping but it is solo
errands so I can actually focus which is awesome.
5. I get to see Dave a ton this week and next weekend and I'm so very
looking forward to it!
(See Below)
Hint: A trip to Crate and Barrel would be nice this Valentine's Day
Consumerism equals love
Crate and Barrel
I want furniture. BAD. Our house is empty and it needs a daybed and a couch and a full length mirror and end tables and an entertainment center and dining room chairs and rugs and art work and I love Crate and Barrel. Oh that would be the best Valentines Day ever. Materialism....gotta love it!

2. I had breakfast with my family this morning; which was awesome because we won't get to hang out together the rest of the day.
3. I made Dave act like a teenager for 15 minutes before he left for work and it was the most fun we've had in awhile. ;)
4. 3 foot tall Nano.
5. Staying in my yoga pants all day and watching the snow melt outside. It's the first time we've seen our sidewalk in 2 months!

Grace in Small Things #17
1. I woke up and wasn't exhausted. I just got out of bed and got my day started. I love mornings when I don't have to drag myself into my day.
2. I have very few plans for the evening...mostly involving me painting my toes. Then possibly repainting my toes...and then reading a book...and passing out. I'm fabulously lame.
3. Pens with highlighters on one side.
4. Funfetti DAY 2!
5. This:
