Lets be honest...it's my calling in life to just ramble on.
I haven't had the chance to type with two hands much in the last month so if I wasn't posting a quick photo...I haven't been able to say too much....I've got a bunch of half written thoughts all over the internet at this point....
Currently Baby Dave is being held by Daddy Dave...Earlier he took almost a FIVE hour nap. We've been having some weight issues and some formula fussiness issues so he's had to be woken up to eat and today...well I just said FORGET THE RULES....and let the little guy sleep...but it's not like I've had the opportunity to be uninterrupted for 5 hours unless I was sleeping anyway...even though he's not a huge fan of chuggin the bottle...he still likes to be awake with us.
He is an amazing baby. OJ was a really easy breezy baby...she was totally easy and great...Baby Dave is like 10x easier...well maybe 2-3x easier but still...he's making me think about having 9-10 children...I want to be Queen Victoria or one of the Duggars....WOW who thought those would ever be in the same thought/sentence. Anyway, he's got this very peaceful disposition. He just seems to enjoy being with us. OJ LOVES HIM. She, I believe was put on this earth to be a big sister. She just 'gets it' she gives him gentle kisses and holds his hand during diaper changes. She dotes on him every chance she gets. She regularly tells me "hes soooooooo cute" and then giggles uncontrollably.
I, never having biological siblings, and while having wonderful step-brothers never really had 'normal' sibling relationships didn't know what to expect with siblings. I realize I'm only a month into this, but I expected to deal with jealousy and for the Bebes to compete for our attention. While that does happen it's nothing near what I had mentally prepared for. She doesn't seem to mind that 3D needs a lot of our attention, she just wants to help and be a 'big sister soccer player.' She has her moments but overall she's been amazing as well. I'm overjoyed that at this point, our little family of four seems to be getting along rather well.
The only problem we've had with 3D thus far is that in the beginning he wasn't a huge fan of eating and gaining weight, he was more interested in sleeping. HE IS SOOO MY CHILD. We had to start waking him up more often to eat. I wasn't producing enough so we started supplementing with formula, he then decided he didn't like the formula. He's not allergic to lactose but he's sensitive to it. So now we are trying lactose free formula. We are about 30 hours into it, and things are looking up...remember FIVE hours of sleep....crazy little guy. I'm giving it about 15-20 more hours before I call this a success....we shall see.
In other news, I'm leaving the house tomorrow...alone. I'm excited. I see coffee or a frosty in my future.
Dave and I are both doing well. We are on a whole new level of marital awesome over here. After the Bebes was born we struggled to be an awesome couple. This time around has been absolutely perfect. We are both trying so hard to work as a team and take care of each other. He went back to work this week after 3 weeks at home with us. I miss him terribly. I struggle to use the word 'help' I could rant for hours about how I feel with husbands who 'help' their wives with housework and child raising...OMG the raging feminist in me comes out. BUT Dave has been more than an equal partner taking care of me through 2 weeks bedrest, an ER visit, a case of mastitis, 102.6 fever...it's been a crazy 4-6 weeks and I'm beyond grateful to have him....he also cooks....be jealous.
On that note, I've been less sarcastic than normal and my glass of wine is just about empty. I think its time I get some sleep. We have the next two days off as a family and I want to be as rested as possible. Can I cross my fingers and pray that this 4-5 hours of sleep stretches are a new trend and that Dave and I might start getting a bit of sleep here and there...maybe at the same time. Currently we spend about 45 minutes in the same bed every night. At least we don't have to share covers? I do like sleeping in the middle of the bed...not going to sugar coat that fact.
Hope you all have a lovely evening, weekend? weekend is coming right? What day is this?
Goooooood Morning Vietnam.

Project:
The other day....Dave and I got ambitious and started a project. While we worked on the project the Bebes did this:
Baby Dave did this:
We did this:
Other than a few small baskets and a shoe rack, OOOH and a pile of pants I wouldn't let myself try on or get rid of for a few more weeks till I can legitimately give them a yes/no/wtf....our closet STILL looks this cleaned out, I have NO clothes and we donated so much to Goodwill today, the man brought out a blue bin on wheels to help us remove the bags from our vehicle.
Thankfully we did find our bed again, and the ladder is still in the middle of our bedroom but thats from a roof leaking issue that is still under investigation....by your mom.
I'm not letting myself go shopping till I fit back into my pre-pregnancy jeans. So thats what like next week right? RIGHT?
I miss zippers.......I don't however miss my ugly wardrobe, I got rid of some dumb looking clothes.

Picture update, and letting you all know I've showered.
I had planned to be chatty and write an extensive post...but Dave is watching some Geek on the computer downstairs and I crawled into bed to rest a bit...and heck...I don't really want to talk to you people now. I want to close my eyes...mmmmm rest.
So heres a few pictures from the last week we've been home, apparently I'm not in any of them? This little guy has been a dream baby and I'm loving almost every minute of this second child. (except the minutes that I don't get to shower. BUT heeeey I'm totally showered and clean right now so lets just go to my happy place!)
Enjoy! Maybe the next time I have two hands to myself, no toddler and I'm showered...I'll check back in.
Big Sisters are soooo cool
I few pictures from before we left the hospital:
No no peeps you listen to me. This is MY brodder and I'm in charge.
I tickle his toes....tee hee hee

2 MOOOORE DAYS!
I've been in countdown mode for some time. I know I said I'd post pictures...maybe I just said it in my head, who knows. Anyway our plan for the evening is to get everything put away where it belongs so maybe tomorrow morning I can finally get some pictures of the babies room without all of my daughters 'play' stuff everywhere. She's been putting her babies to sleep in there for about a month. Only time will tell if this was a brilliant way to introduce a sibling to her or the worst idea ever.
We finished painting her room in the last week or so, and by we of course I mean Dave. He also painted the 2nd bathroom which means officially the only room(s) in our house that have not been updated since we moved in is our bedroom/bathroom. Our bedroom is still that sexy mauve/lavender combo. I know everyday Dave wakes up feeling like man. It's just so gender neutral in there I swear. Anyway her room is now this very pretty shade of blue. It's mid-decor phase right now but I'm also hoping to get some shots of her room soon as well. She might be getting a new bed and I don't want to finish hanging all her wall decor and accessories till we've made a decision on her bed.
Apparently I'm not going to actually talk about giving birth in two days? I'm just going to talk about home remodeling? How very deep of me? haha
Lets see if I can get back on topic.
I went yesterday to get my hair done, my eyebrows a prettied up and a mani/pedi. (this is me getting back on topic I SWEAR). When I was pregnant with the bebes my girlfriend and I had plans for pedicures and just an afternoon of relaxing...and then my body decided 38 weeks was just about enough...and it was time to have a baby instead. My hair wasn't washed...my toes...not painted...deep....aka shallow sadness all around lol. You know...all those important things in life. This time around....again I wasn't so sure I was going to get to keep my appointment. About 2 weeks ago my blood pressure went through the roof and we were all a little concerned about preeclampsia or hypertension etc etc...so I was put on 'stay at home and chill out' bedrest. Not the SUPER serious bedrest but the don't freak yourself out...and make your husband fold the laundry kind of bedrest. My BP kept teetering back and forth over the past two weeks but we ended on a high dangerous note so it's a good thing I have this whole 'scheduled c-section' thing going on this Tuesday. Thankfully I also got to keep my 5 hour long spa-ish appointment. I'm officially a blonde which is NOT what I asked for, but I'm assuming I can just edit all the photos taken of me into B&W and then no one will see the crazy dye job my hair went through this weekend. OR we can just take pictures of my nails and toe nails...they look great.
So I'm ready this time around. With the Bebes we had a really crazy 'go to the hospital right now' moment and Dave wasn't with me. Nothing was ready, and I had a very dear 'male' friend going through my underwear drawer packing my hospital bag. This time...no one needs to go through my underwear drawer and that right there lowers my BP by 10 points haha.
I'm almost ready for Dave's birthday which is the day AFTER we get home from the hospital and my parents anniversary is next week and we have pictures scheduled with super awesome Karin. Because I don't need to over plan anything you know 5 seconds after coming home from the hospital? That would be silly. Another good friend is coming up for the day of delivery to spend it at home with the Bebes before she heads to the hospital to meet her new little brother. She's been running around for a week telling everyone she's a "big sister soccer player" which is obnoxiously adorable. I wish she would stop being so cute. I'm just glad she's covered and she will not feel ignored at all this upcoming week with all the people here to pay attention just to her. My parents will be here tomorrow. My mom has promised lots of good food. PHEW. That woman can cook mmmmmm
Phew...theres a lot going on. I did just FINALLY find the entryway to our house again. It was buried in laundry. I'm a big 'just throw it on the floor in the right pile and it will make it to the washer' person, but in the last month or so getting down repeatedly to the floor is hard so we've been throwing our laundry on the entryway bench so I can reach it. I just found the bench. It's just as pretty as I remember it.
Anyway I have a toddler begging for some lunch and heck...I'm not too exciting...just waiting to met the newest little person whos going to demand my attention and make me have those stupid mushy moments I hate! Stupid emotions....they are sooooo overrated. Will update soon with pictures...either of a baby or a babys room or well who knows. I promise no boob shots...I can't bring myself to do it!
Ta Ta for now! haha (tata's didn't plan that one)

Wow If I was on Drugs I would be Sellin them on the Black Market
I'm sitting right now....in my bedroom with its ugly mauve walls and its faded purple curtains (not my choices....thanks previous owners). I'm sitting on my quilt I bought in college its also purple and pink...it matches the room...I hold my head in shame. Next to me on my bedside table is a stack of papers for swim classes and dance classes that I want to register the goobs for....and a porcelain tea set, the green cup is chipped, but thankfully Dave fixed that last week! There are LOADS of laundry sitting in baskets in the corner of my room and I can't currently turn the tv on because theres a bunch of the bebes stuff blocking the censor. My room has been taken over by everything and everyone.
I remember babysitting in middle school and high school and I'd imagine if I did the math correctly that the people whose kids we were watching were probably my age. I remember being in their bedrooms and thinking wow they don't really keep this very cleaned up. Theres lots of clean laundry here and there and why is there kids stuff in the room...etc etc. In contrast I remember growing up and even to this day, my mom/my parents room has always been 'theres' I'm sure my stuff snuck in when I was really young and I just don't remember it but my mom has always had what I remember to be a strict separation of space. This does not exist in my world. I'm still sorting out my feelings on this one.
...On one hand, when I wake up in the middle of the night for my 9 month pregnancy 45th pee break...and I accidentally hit the piles of papers and they fly all over the floor, I'll probably be rather annoyed. But at 7:30 or earlier....ekks...when my daughter comes in and I have a ceramic tea cup shoved in my face and I'm asked if I want keeeam in my tea...I'll find this all rather endearing.
Yesterday at my 37 week appointment my blood pressure spiked a bit and my doctor has put me on lite bedrest. At least for this week. So today, I got to stay home and stair at all the dirt in my house, while playing with my daughter and enjoying NOT being at work. I'm not feeling 100% but heck I'm probably just psyching myself out. Dave took the news of my impending possible bedrest/child is coming asap.....news...in a classic Dave way: he started and completed major painting projects. The kid(s) bathroom is now painted the coolest shade of burnt crimson redishness ever. And the bebes room is painted a very cool ashy blue. I'm desperately in love with both rooms. I think only in his mind does adding to the chaos not help manage the chaos actually equate to him being helpful...but heck I'm just jazzed the projects are done.
Tomorrow I'm going to either lay in bed all day till my follow up appointment OR.... vacuum. We'll see what state my house is in and what state my well you know....reproductive baby making systems are in...sometime in the afternoon. Part of me wants this baby to be here this weekend. The 15th sounds like a lovely birthday doesn't it? Part of me is VERY okay waiting till the 25th for his scheduled and wonderfully planned arrival. Now that I'm at home relaxing I'm not so much "get this baby out of me" as I am "oh this is going to be fun, bring on the family of 4!"
I think I had a point when I started writing this...I wonder if it's lost.
Oh okay...home improvements....here we go...back on topic...OVERWHELMINGLY EXCITING...I know I know.
So I have these very sexy mauve walls right...and faded lavender curtains. I totally misrepresented the ugliness of these curtains by calling them purple up there. They are pastel fabulous lavender. In fact everything in our house was a shade of an Easter egg when we moved in. Our room is the last room left. You know they always say when you have kids, its all about them. You do everything for them and you don't spend the time and energy on yourselves anymore. I guess my point was that as I look around my master bedroom I would imagine an outsider would totally say thats whats happening here. I'm sure to some extent it's true, in our case we've just been slowly moving around the house. Also Dave hasn't had much of an opinion on the kids rooms. Where as our room we can't decide exactly what we want. I choose a different bedding once a week and Dave hates color....he REALLY does.
ALSO....its not like my 2 1/2 year old daughter and my due any moment son have the slightest idea or even CARE about their rooms. I on the other hand LOVE their rooms. They are everything I'd hoped for when creating cute living spaces for small people. Except that Dave vetoed the little chandelier in the Bebes room...gah...no imagination! Anyway can't I just live vicariously through my children and their very cute rooms and have it be about me and not them? I'm going to go with YES.
I'm hoping to post pictures soon. BUT Baby J is set to make his appearance anytime between 1-12 days so we'll see what actually gets done. Maybe if you're all lucky I'll post a picture of my master bedroom. My bedside table is a busted up old wooden box from the 1940's in a way thats totally cool and completely un-functional. It's also barely visible under all the junk..so....not cool. Dave has a low end 3 drawer dresser from Ikea as his bedside stand...much more functional...much less cool.
Wowzers its midnight...lets update that Baby J could be here TODAY...or sometime in the next 11 days. Thats exciting!
Anyway I'm thinking I am not editing anything I wrote cause I think the wackado nonsensical rambling will be a good time capsule of 9 mo pregnant lindso and how clearly she's SOOO totally in her right mind.
I switched into 3rd person there didn't I. "OMG" goodnight.
Also Dave just removed a cabbage patch doll from our bed. Apparently he doesn't like sleeping with "ladies."

Less cranky?
I'm in a slightly better mood today. My body is a bit less cranky, I got more sleep last night and the bebes REFUSES to go downstairs so we are curled up in bed together for the time being which....clearly doesn't suck. Aka its almost 9am and I have yet to get out of bed. Hope our friends we are meeting for dinner later don't mind if I just come in my pajamas. Yes I am bringing sexy back.
To counteract my wicked cranky post yesterday and in an effort to neutralize my presence on the web....I'm posting cute pictures. I HATE beging negative on the web. (that statement makes me giggle) While sarcasm is amusing to me and I do have opinions I try to stay neutral to positive in my overall yammering on.
So this is a flash back....to when my bebes was brand new. And it's reminding me that my crankiness while totally annoying and exhausting...is all for a pretty good purpose. I'm so excited to meet our new little guy in the next two and half weeks. We are WAY more prepaired this time around. Dave hung the blinds yesterday!!!! I know that has no baring on your mood but its rockin mine right now.
Anyway here we go:
I'm so excited to take a similar picture of her brother soon. This picture 2 1/2 years later still makes me laugh. She was so tiny and so 'matching the scenery.'
Have you met my husband? I think we were pretty close to fighting when I took this picture. Those first three months...were 'fun?' I'm fairly confident this time around we're going to rock the whole newborn thing. And handle each other better too.
This is one of the first pictures of the bebes ever taken. My camera was in my makeup bag at the hospital and I didn't find it till the day we were leaving so this was taken on my iphone and phew...I'm just so glad random technology was around for it...or else wed have no pictures from the hospital!
Okay that is all for the day....I think it's time to share a bowl of cereal with the bebes and share some germs too. Plus I HAVE to stop listening to Dora before my bad mood comes back...WOAH wicked annoying.

2011....
OMG...2011 Seriously has been kicking our butt for what a week now.
(This is one CRANKY update...I'm assuming I'll look back on this in a few months and blame it on my 'about to give birth' hormones but honestly...whine whine whine....)
On New Years Eve (2010...yes I know) our vehicle that holds the car seat(s) started acting up...and decided it was un-driveable. Thankfully after taking it to get looked at it was a quick and easy fix although not cheap. 2011 is costing us a lot of money thus far. We had to get it fixed cause you know...pending birth means we need a car to bring a baby home in...silliness.
Dave is sick...has been since 2010. The Bebes decided that 2011 was going to get her sick as well. We are going through tissues, cough drops and cold meds over here like I'm on a a flex spending amex gold card. They both need to get healthy or else I'm not having any visitors in the hospital here shortly....
I fell in a parking lot last week and did the splits. I did the 9 month pregnant lady splits. MENTAL PICTURE. I landed....in a not so pleasant way.....and spent the next day at the doctor making sure the baby was doing okay. Fetal heart monitors....when everything is perfect are actually a lot of fun to listen to. Thankfully again all is good there. I took two days off work this week from the fall....PRE maternity leave which means....less paid time there...BRILLIANT. I'm sore literally from head to toe. I also officially cannot walk around without something close by to hold on to. I'm hoping thats not a lasting effect seeing as how I have to get up and pee every 20 minutes and I don't own a cane.
The Bebes has decided 2011 is going to be her "testing out 'definance' year" so thats outstanding. We spend an extra 20-30 minutes on each task now until she completes it. I'm currently writing this while waiting for her to 1. open the door and 2. get her pull-up changed (because we don't want to use the potty anymore either). I'm not going to take the time to explain either of those they aren't even remotely interesting leave it to say...they aren't getting done.
She also broke her blinds this morning....they are thankfully getting replaced shortly cause they were crappy to begin with but the point is...they are broken. In addition to that stellar move...she felt the need to reach up and grab her engraved first curl box that was WAY out of her reach...open it and loose her first curl. So I'm pretty much waiting for Dave to wake up shortly so I can have the proper meltdown about that situation.
Could the second week of 2011 please bring a little less drama? I'm EXHAUSTED from this past week. Dave has been a super hero taking care of all of us and he's sick as a dog. We are desperately trying to get the last few things done around the house so we are ready for Baby J on the 25th...or sooner.
Our house is actually DIRTY...which is great because clearly I'm super flexible and can get down and scrub the corners. The cats have felt the need to puke...EVERYWHERE. Apparently they are sick too. Yesterday I caught one of them moments away from peeing on the leather couch. The spent the rest of the night whining in the basement because I have no patience for this week...and wasn't going to pet cats who maliciously peeeeee on things.
I'd like a do over...I spent the time to usher in the new year. I STAYED UP TILL 12:05....I know...amazing. I wished 2011 well and happily welcomed it into my life and it's not treating me too well so far.
Whine Whine Whine....goodbye

Dear Baby J,
I know I KNOW...I just fed you a foot long Subway sub, because your hungry....or because OMG I love me some chicken breast loaded with every veggie they have and a pinch of pepper. I didn't just do this for you...I did this for me...because HELLO you consume a lot of calories and I'm always hungry and sometimes light headed.
I know you weren't around for this but when I was pregnant with your sister the INSANE food consumption didn't really happen till her last month in there. So I'm having a hard time keeping up with you.
But....thats not why we are here today. We are here to talk about 10 minutes after the eating. 10 minutes after the eating comes the kicking. THE KICKING CHILD. Your sister was SO mellow in there, she let me know she was there and healthy. She'd show me every once and a while how active she was. She gave me a pretty good perspective on what she'd be like on the outside world. YOU...are well...lets just go there...TOTALLY CRAZY. What the heck are you doing in there? If ultrasound technology wasn't invented I'd swear I was having at least 2 children. AND that they were in a fist fight non-stop! I can't figure out what your beating me up with either. Is that a foot? an arm? an elbow? an extra appendage from hanging out near a nuclear plant too long? Are you head banging? I swear if you are not stronger than Popeye when you come out I'm going to be seriously confused.
It's not just a little its all the time. I'm kinda hoping you are up all day and sleep all night when you come out because that seems to be your schedule now. I wonder if I can get enough food in you from 6am-10pm and you'll just sleep 8 hours right off the bat? I HAVE A DREAM!
Please don't misunderstand. I'm THRILLED your a happy healthy baby. Could you just be a bit less exuberant about it? I'd appreciate it...so would my ribs...and my nauseous meter.
Love,
Momma or as your sister says (MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM)

Where everyone tells Dave he's wrong.
We had our 24 week appointment last week. Can I just say I LOVE my doctor. He often takes my side without even know what side I'm on. In the past month or so maybe even two...I've grown numb to the insanity...I have been getting BEATEN from the inside out. Now...the only real issue I have with this is HELLO...I'm totally nauseous from jiggling all the time. I'm thrilled that this child is so active and healthy and happy in there. I've told Dave probably every day since late August that this kid is going to be a handful. He keeps dismissing me, telling me that it's the second child and I'm just feeling things more because I'm more aware. He says this child is going to be exactly like the bebes...he's going to be calm and mellow etc etc. Except Dave doesn't knoooow. This child's a wonderful crazy wack job of energy. I'm totally excited and totally terrified for him to make his way in this world. I'm going to be exhausted after the first few hours I'm certain.
So last week Dr T is trying to check the heartbeat like he always does and hes pushing on my stomach and not getting anywhere, and he pushes again, and then he switches positions and pushes harder which actually hurts but I WILL SURVIVE. Finally he twists his hand practically backwards on my stomach pins the kids head down and squishes him to one side so he cant move in my stomach. I think he must have wrestled in high school. Now yes I was a little "stop squishing my baby" but mostly we got to hear a nice healthy heartbeat so that was good. He turns to Dave and just says "You guys are going to have your hands full this child is crazy!" And that my friends is why I picked this guy. We are on the same page...Same wavelength. Tall, looks like a basketball player African-American doctor who makes TONS of money...and me...average hight pasty white girl who can't afford to eat nachos everyday...LIKE SHE DESPERATELY WANTS TO! Same wavelength. I'm sure you can see that?
So anyway as per usual Dave is wrong....of course...I mean seriously...and I...am probably right. Will we actually know anything anytime soon? No. Will I have to wait a solid 18 years for the data to come back on this little discussion? Yes. Am I patient? You betcha!
In other news I have a scheduled c-section date. AND a scheduled pre-c-section-hair-eyebrows-pedicure-manicure date. Lets just hope this little guy sticks around till he's supposed to not like the bebes and her two week earliness. Not that it was actually her fault. It was mine; but I'm all about blaming others for my shortcomings.

Halloweenie
I've spent WAY too much time obsessing over what my toddler is going to be for Halloween. I've narrowed it down to whats practical and whats still available in her size.
I've ordered excessively off the internet today and I can safely say she'll either be a fairy, a lady bug or Minnie Mouse. I'm already dreading the day when she has an opinion on what she's going to be. This was hard enough. I have no interest in spending a lot of money on this adventure either.
I kinda want her to be the generic fairy cause the outfit is so simple and can be used for dress up fun around the house outfits for months. Also when you come up with these outfits you have to think about shoes...which is annoying. Minnie Mouse and the lady bug at least need black shoes. I've got that one covered. Thank goodness. The fairy I have no idea what to do. We'll see what we end up with.
I think I'm stressing because this is her first year trick or treating and YES I know she's going to be herself...aka shy and wont say trick or treat to ANYONE but maybe once she realizes theres a candy reward we won't be so shy. We'll just wait and see.
I'm actually MORE excited for next year when she'll make us buy her some ridiculous costume that cost a fortune AND I'll get to dress up her little brother. He might be Yoda...or Batman. OR Larry the Cucumber. Because I'm mean and need these pictures for future slideshows...I'm all about the future slideshows recently.
Anyway at this point I think she's set. I'm not sure what shes going to collect the candy in but I'm assuming a quick trip to Target may solve that problem for me. And really who doesn't love a quick aka 2 hour long trip to Target.
The Bebes 1st Halloween was about 2 weeks after we'd moved into our new house and we got her those cute hot pink glow in the dark pj's with skeletons on them. I have the cutest picture of her. We didn't do much other than pass out candy for the neighbor kids but it was a cute year. Last year goobs was a little sick and Dave had to work so we stuck around inside and vegged on the couch in a seasonably appropriate shirt...no candy to be had. Sigh.
.... reminiscing....
I remember Halloweens as a kid. I don't remember so much the trick or treating. For that matter I'm not really sure where I did it cause we lived in the country and there weren't a lot of neighbors. I do however remember the costumes. This is totally where I fail as a mom because my mother made almost EVERY SINGLE COSTUME for YEARS. In high school she made me a 50's poodle skirt, as a little girl I was a clown and Raggedy Anne and the Statue of Liberty. I have so many amazing memories of the costumes my mom made me. Maybe my poor kid will get ONE homemade costume at some point here. Who knows.
Am I even making sense today? I'm so loopy. I think it's time for a sandwich...or a a nap. I like both ideas.
Gooooodbye

Clip-On Ties....I DIE.
So I've had about like what 3 weeks to let this all sink in. aka I haven't updated anyone about anything cause I'm sleepy. BUT...My hormones are playing all happy & nice today. I've also been doing a little online browsing for baby boy STUFF.
My child is going to be SUCH a weenie. I mean...a cool weenie...but I can't get over the tweed and the corduroy and the plaid....and the flannel...I'm just gah...I DIE.
Over the weekend I went through just one of the boxes from the bebes and found a few gender neutral things for this little guy. We have the opportunity to resurrect the "My Dad's a Geek" onesie. Which makes both Dave and I very happy. A few yellow and green onesies and some sleepers. I have a cream and then a blue bundle me wrap up thingamajig. You'd think I would know what these things are called at least after having one child but alas, I do not.
My list of needs/wants for this little person is growing daily and I'm SO excited to go shopping. I have made myself a deal though that I'm going to wait till after Christmas merely for the sales. I can't imagine how much great winter stuff I'll get for pretty cheap after the holidays. I am however dreading the 9 months pregnant after Christmas mall visit. Maybe this "recession" will keep people out of the malls the few days after Christmas. That would be stellar.
As I'm sitting here I'm getting violently kicked. I'm pretty okay with it though. I keep telling Dave that this child is WAY more active than the bebes was. He doesn't believe me, he keeps telling me that its the second time around and I'm just more aware. My toddler while she has her moments is ridiculously mellow most of the time. This child is INSANE. I remember when I was pregnant with Bebes and how the Dr would ask me if I'm feeling any movement and at first I wasn't sure but even when I was sure there wasn't a lot of movement. This child is active from 8 AM till 10PM EVERYDAY. I like though...when Dave has opinions about these things...mostly cause i just laugh at him...and complain about how he doesn't get it to my friends. He likes when I do that. Haha
Side Note: Can we get Katie Perry out of my head please? I'm kinda over it.
Side Note 2: My new love is hot pasta with cold shredded cheese on it. It's a texture thing I believe.
I'm creating a calendar of events and projects and activities that need to happen between now and next April. I'm not a paper calendar girl but I did this when the Bebes was born and I actually put it in her baby box. It showed how much work we put in to making her a space in our lives and I think it just kinda showed how excited we were for her to come home and hang with us...for 18 years. I keep thinking back to that time and realizing how unprepared we were. Not so much to have an infant...thats a separate rant all by itself..but how broke we were and how our little girl had a crib next to Dave's seminary books. Her closet had guitars in it.
This time, she has her own room in a house not an apartment and the new little guy has a nursery all to himself. Their rooms will be painted and styled according to their cute bedding and individual 'stuff.' I've already got diapers ready to go and a full maternity leave covered with at least partial pay. I have a sitter set up for when I return to work. I'm already prepared for that event, even though it will be hard. I am not stressing about all the extra stuff. I'm sure an almost 3 year old and a newborn will be enough. I'm glad the rest of it has been pretty much figured out ahead of time. This time around I'm feeling much more excited and not so nervous about whats ahead of us.....and I have more yoga pants to wear. Huzzah!
I'm also excited for a glass of red wine. I remember when I was pregnant the first time my greatest annoyance was that I couldn't drink. I'm a stickler to the no drinking thing. I cant imagine if something were to happen or was wrong with this little guy how I could ever NOT blame myself if I had drank during a pregnancy. Anyway my point is: I was DYING for a drink when I got home from the hospital. Dave and I are drinks with dinner type people so I had a really hard time adjusting to no adult beverages. This time around I just want that glass of red wine in a 'calm and relaxed hanging out on the couch' sort of way. Oh and a margarita. And lunch meat and tons of soft cheese. SIGN ME UP. maybe I'll have a soft cheese and lunch meat sandwich with a glass of red wine. That pretty much sounds disgusting haha.
Okay rant over. I need a Coke and some french fries, which is ironically what the bebes tries to serve me when shes pretend cooking at home. I'm not sure if she even knows what a Coke is?
Goodbye forevers. Maybe if you're lucky I'll stay away...OR...come back more chatty and rambly than before. Oh rambly...not even a word.

It's a.....
GIANT LEFT FOOT!
Did not think I would ever say the word penis on my blog....at least not in an appropriate way haha.
Needless to say I'm over the moon. Dave's pretty thrilled as well. All afternoon everyone was saying "One of each" which was actually the last thing I would have thought of considering we never planned to stop at two kids, I just think...I wonder what the next one will be?
I do have to say I was floored when the US Tech said boy. I had a feeling the whole way through she was going to say boy but I still expected to have two little girls running around in matching outfits that I could embarrass them with in future picture slide shows.
We went out yesterday and bought the new little guy a small gift, and over the past weekend we got him 160 diapers with a good in store deal and massive coupons. Well...because thats just how I roll. Except I'm not cool enough to roll. You get the picture. Anyway those diapers will last us 16 days. I'm technically responsible for this "child" to legally house and raise him for 6,570 days but hopefully he won't be in diapers that whole time.......
Dave is now excited and discouraged that his excuse NOT to paint the upstairs is no longer valid. We know what we are having so the painting projects must commence. I'm thinking a soft yellow or a blue. I feel a bit cliche with 'blue' but I was feeling the need to paint the room blue whether we had a boy or a girl so I guess I'll just have to get over it.
I'm now going to fall asleep where I sit and not move till we have this child. Considering how ornery it was during the ultrasound I have a feeling this ones going to give us a run for our money. Or make me sit in a corner rocking and pulling my hair out.
and a................PENIS...
ew ew ew....

My weekend...lacking in documentation.
I had a great weekend, did nothing Labor Dayish...Didn't wear white to usher out the changing of the seasons. Didn't celebrate anyone laboring. I did see a movie which I never do. Hung out with some friends which I never do. Ate nachos...which I don't do as often as I say I want to...but heck lets be honest, I do a lot.
We went to Costco, to pick up supplies aka we love Costco and use it as an excuse to shop for whatever...whenever...it's lovely. We got some Coke Zero. The Coke Zero cans were PROMOTING THAT STUPID SCHOOL THAT DAVE AND I DISLIKE A LOT. I wont sully this blog with it's name. Anyway I was trying to get Dave to be 'shocked and offended' instead he couldn't stop laughing. I'd like to think I'm really funny but he tells me all the time that in fact I am not.
The Goobs has decided my old phone cover is ACTUALLY a real cell phone and it needs to be charged. She did this ALL weekend long. She would unplug our phones....to plug hers in. Clearly this is a good use of our electricity.
My child...NEVER wants to be photographed. This picture she BEGGED me to take. Mommy picture now peas. It's poorly lit and she's eating only white food? BUT SHES SMILING??? I didn't know this day would come. I would imagine when #2 gets here and our child will kick in on the jealousy and I'll get tons of pictures of her while I'm trying to take pictures of a newborn. Either way lets hope this change is for good. I feel like I've barely documented the last few months of her life.
I have FINALLY set up my ultrasound I'm 19 weeks right now and my appointment isn't until the 21st. Lets not even talk about how hard its going to be for me to wait that long. It was originally scheduled for the 13th...aka A FEW DAYS FROM NOW...and of course now I have to wait two weeks. My life...is so hard...you have no idea. I'm the queen of the ... today aren't I?
In other pregnancy related news, I feel like I'm finally starting to balance out a bit. Although every part of me hurts. I don't remember it being like this the first time around, but my whole body aches. Every morning I wake up and all I "want" to do is grab some Starbucks and a few Tylenol which I abstain from most of the time. I learned from the Chicago Tribune that diet soda is the devil so I've almost completely stopped drinking Diet Coke which come on...was a good choice anyway. I'm eating more healthy and much less healthy this time around. There is no balance. It's awkward at best. I do think my water consumption is pretty impressive but I'm not sure if it balances out my need for M&M's.
I think its about time to end my rambling and let Narcoleptic Lindso take over......(this is where I make a corny "zzzzz" noise...just go with it).
goodbye.

Where I rant and then throw in some cuteness to make up for it.
So let me start out by saying...I had one of those REALLY annoying cute weekends. I went on a date with my husband which I promise...we never do. I hate when people exaggerate and they are like...we never see each other we don't do things together and then all you hear about is how Angelina Jolie has no privacy...except she can manage to make it to 2-3 premieres a week and has appropriate outfits for those premiers and has what 6 children...lady..YOU...have a nanny...I do not.
Anyway I'm so fabulous when I'm off topic aren't I? So we went on a date...and we went to the fancy theaters that have the super crazy lazy boy seats and they bring you blankets and amazing gourmet food. I had these little spinach and artichoke cheese deep fried balls of goodness...and man...I forgot I was even on a date with Dave...
Dave's friend watched the goobs for us Friday night. He asked that she be fed and in pj's before we left because his skill set really lies in building massive towers out of alphabet blocks and watching them be destroyed by a 2 year old.
Saturday...was the magically day though...Saturday...my child let Dave and I stay in our bedroom...undisturbed till 9:15...NINE FREAKIN FIFTEEN....It was almost like we had a teenager who didn't want to hang out with us...she played in her room for almost 3 hours and left us alone. Now...you can only imagine what we did with that free time...and you'd be totally wrong..because Dave went back to sleep and I tried to concentrate on a book over his snoring...we are SOOOO ROMANTIC...
The rest of the day was spent in true Lindso OCD style....we got the 3rd bedroom straightened up and in organized chaos...there is now a crib and a changing table...and a huge bookshelf full of junk..but it's one step closer to choosing a paint color and being done with all that craziness. I know I know...I'm like what 5 minutes pregnant (thanks Mary) but really...we find out what we are having in September...and then its football season..and then the holidays and I promise you...I will NOT be pleasant if I have to smell paint fumes in January with no ventilation...and have to take down Christmas decorations 9 months pregnant...PROMISE. So I may seem OCD but I'm truly defending this mentality...and telling everyone to lovingly shove it! xoxo super smiley face...obnoxiousness.
Sunday...I had another bout of OCD and was done with my list of activities before 10am....which was awesome...but I was left without a vehicle that housed a car seat so I was unable to free myself from the confines of my home...to forage for nachos...
Lets talk about this for a bit...apparently all I want are nachos...not just any nachos...I don't want to make them from scratch I don't want them as an appetizers at a chain restaurant. I do not want them from an authentic Mexican hole in the wall fabulous restaurant...no no...I want them from Moe's. I've now eaten at Moe's a total of 3 times...maybe...maybe only 2? I don't know...what I do know is that their nachos are heaven on a platter...a plastic platter with a sheet of parchment paper covered in queso...did you hear me NACHOS...oh dear lord...why am I squeezing this into a rant post...these nachos deserve their own pretty bold post dedicated to their fantabulousness. We went to Moe's last week...and Dave got the nachos...I didn't know about them before this point...I made Dave take me again on Saturday...and then I could barely last 24 hours and I needed them again. I'm not sure what we are having for dinner but CLEARLY you know what my suggestion will be. NOM NOM NOM
Okay so I need to get off that topic it's clearly making me wish Moe's was near by...siiiigh
Heres were I usually abruptly end and loose focus and move on to other things...like um...nachos...oooh whatever I give up...
I leave you with this....this happened over the weekend and its ANNOYINGLY cute. It also has ridiculously bad volume so turn those speakers way up...get ready to hear some mediocre music....and sorry if the video is fuzzy...I'm not a vlogger...mostly cause I hate that word but I also just have my iPhone and its great..but it doesn't translate to this space well.
goodbye forevers....

Hi I'm Socially Awkward!
I told my Aunt while she was ordering her drink from the waitress at the restaurant.
I told my coworkers over my threat to abandon them in January.
I told my babysitter in English. She mainly speaks Spanish.
I told my parents by throwing a new t-shirt at my toddler and making her wear it alerting us all to her new status.
My sister-in-law found out on accident after everyone knew.
I told my pregnant friends that they weren't alone.
I told my neighbor at 4 weeks because she warned me there was something in the water. I told her she was right.
My mother-in-law told me after I refused a glass of wine.
I told my husband by shoving a stick I peed on in his face...while he was changing a toddlers dirty diaper.
I told him again with another 3 tests, because I didn't want him to think I was lying.
What can I say I have a way with announcements...nothing but class...nothing but clear planned adorable ways of announcing our impending offspring.
I love being this socially awkward.
Here my friends is our newest little person, due to make an appearance on or before February 2nd!
