Gracezilla!

Our good friend Clayton came over to spend the day with the goobs...and put this little number together.  I die.  He makes her seem so much more "toddler" than she actually is.

Also I got props for costume designer...OF COURSE. My understanding of the subtle 1980's nod to leggings and classic sweatshirt are a trademark.

Mornings are rough on all of us.

Sometimes you put your 2 and 1/2 year old to bed...and come in the next morning and find a 16 year old who just passed out in the middle of her bed after a long night talking on the phone with friends.

I WANT...my toddler back.

Sing-a-ma-shoot-me

Dave's cousin and I have been having a lovely little twitter exchange over the Sing-a-ma-jigs (is that what they are officially called?)

Not only do I find these things creepy and WICKED annoying.

I kinda think their mouths are well...inappropriate looking.  I mean maybe I'm the only one going there...but I can't be the only one going there?

Here is this random stranger I met in the store, who decided to help me browse the Sing-a-ma-things.  He seems just as perturbed as I am.

Maybe Not?

My Husband....

Cannot multi task....but he desperately tries.  Here he is prepping the bathroom for painting and our daughter is taking a bath.  I kinda find his quest for home improvement....or my quest for home improvement and his forced involvement...rather endearing.

Here he was trying to do something while cooking dinner, and put the pepper grinder 'away' in the cabinet with the sippy cups and kids plates.

This is just him being cute.  Lets go with it.

Daddy, I bestow upon you, the sacrificial gourd.

Does this post have a point?  I'm not so sure.

Dear Baby J,

I know I KNOW...I just fed you a foot long Subway sub, because your hungry....or because OMG I love me some chicken breast loaded with every veggie they have and a pinch of pepper.  I didn't just do this for you...I did this for me...because HELLO you consume a lot of calories and I'm always hungry and sometimes light headed.

I know you weren't around for this but when I was pregnant with your sister the INSANE food consumption didn't really happen till her last month in there.  So I'm having a hard time keeping up with you.

But....thats not why we are here today.  We are here to talk about 10 minutes after the eating.  10 minutes after the eating comes the kicking.  THE KICKING CHILD.  Your sister was SO mellow in there, she let me know she was there and healthy.  She'd show me every once and a while how active she was.  She gave me a pretty good perspective on what she'd be like on the outside world.  YOU...are well...lets just go there...TOTALLY CRAZY.  What the heck are you doing in there?  If ultrasound technology wasn't invented I'd swear I was having at least 2 children.  AND that they were in a fist fight non-stop!  I can't figure out what your beating me up with either.  Is that a foot? an arm? an elbow? an extra appendage from hanging out near a nuclear plant too long?  Are you head banging?  I swear if you are not stronger than Popeye when you come out I'm going to be seriously confused.

It's not just a little its all the time.  I'm kinda hoping you are up all day and sleep all night when you come out because that seems to be your schedule now.  I wonder if I can get enough food in you from 6am-10pm and you'll just sleep 8 hours right off the bat?  I HAVE A DREAM!

Please don't misunderstand.  I'm THRILLED your a happy healthy baby.  Could you just be a bit less exuberant about it?  I'd appreciate it...so would my ribs...and my nauseous meter.

Love,
Momma or as your sister says (MOM MOM MOM MOM MOM)

Updates and thoughts on my entire existence.

aka this might be a long one.

But I suppose since I haven't updated in about 2 weeks you can all just suffer through this!

xoxo Lindso

So, I'm tired.  More tired than I want to be and more tired than I probably should be.  I'm taking excellent care of myself and horrible care of myself all at the same time.

Over the weekend The Bebes went trick or treating for the very first time.  I believe she made it to 8 whole houses.  Dave and my SIL took her around to all the different houses and at the end it was mostly just her taking a wagon ride, in a Minnie Mouse costume.  I call the day a great success!

She of course refused to smile, or look at the camera.  I have a few better pictures but heres our two attempts at a family photo.

We also spent the weekend working on potty training.  WHY we decided to have family in town, Halloween festivities AND potty train I do not know.  It was SO much fun and SO stressful but we made some progress on all fronts.

I made tons of fun food and even got my SIL to eat a Mummy Dog.  Who DOESN'T like mummy dogs...seriously.  Heck we might have those for dinner tonight, they were SO tasty.  I do have to say after watching hours on end of Veggie Tales my mummy dogs looked a little bit like the Philistines than mummys.  Don't you think?

So after a long but good weekend, back to the normal routine this week.  The Bebes is having some SERIOUS "terrible twos" issues and it's been a challenge dealing with her the past few weeks.  I'm glad I got pregnant before all this kicked in, because I'm thinking we might have waited A LOT longer to try for number 2 if this was going on.  Thankfully I'm reassured by every professional out there that everything going on is totally a normal progression of toddlerhood.  I just need a nap to try and grasp it all.  The problem is...I'm GOOD with toddlers, I GET toddlers.  My toddler of course....totally not getting.  I was so sure once we hit the toddler stage I had that one HANDLED.  Of course I'm exhausted from even trying anymore.  I'm sure being exhausted from growing that second human isn't helping the situation but hopefully everything will improve soon.  At this rate I'm going to need a VERY stiff drink the day we come home from the hospital.  Maybe Dave can sneak a drink into the recovery room after I pop this kiddo out.  AND NO...I'm not kidding!

In #2 news.  We have an official c-section date.  Jan 25th is his scheduled arrival.  I'm hoping I make it to that day, I have a plan of manicure, pedicure, eyebrows, cut, color and style for the 24th that I don't want to miss THIS TIME.  Cause last time...I missed the pedicure...and clearly "Thats the important lesson to pull from the whole miracle of life experience."  I also have a massive nap scheduled for that day.  Oh glorious nap.  So hopefully my OCD will actually be satiated this time around and everything will go as planned.  If not maybe I can still keep my appointments...I'm suuuure they don't mind newborns? Yeah okay.

I just finished up ordering his new bedding online.  Dave got the nursery painted a few weeks ago.  I'll post some pictures when it's all ready to go.  This is the bedding we chose though (pictures clearly courtesy of Pottery Barn Kids

I'm not sure if it's a crowd pleaser, I show most people and they are like 'oh...........thats nice' but I'm going to defend my bedding:

1. It's not baby blue.  I'm not a huge 'pastel' person.
2. It's totally 'toddler' bedding too.  We used the crib/toddler bed for the first 18-22 months of the bebes life and she used her toddler quilt extensively.  I LOVE her bedding and I'm glad we picked something that wasn't too babyish.  This quilt will totally work well when it comes time to convert to Baby J's toddler settings.  Do kids have a button to push "toddler settings?" Probably not.
3. I like that there are SO many colors in this, I don't have to go 'too themey'.  We painted the room green, which you'd think might not work because of how much blue is involved but I really think its going to be perfect.  I'm accenting in chocolate brown around the room.  I'm just loving all of it.
4. ABC's are a lovely 'theme' if i actually needed a theme.  I've got so many cute little knicknacks and thoughts surrounding the alphabet and the different examples they have for letters on the quilt.  R for rocket is my favorite I found the BEST rocket rattle.  Say that 10 times fast: Rocket Rattle, Rocket Rattle, Rocket Rattle, Rocket Rattle, Rocket Rattle, Rocket Rattle, Rocket Rattle, Rocket Rattle, Rocket Rattle, Rocket Rattle. OMG am I on drugs?

5. This bedding goes REALLY well with our existing off white crib, and the rocking chair my aunt hand painted 3 years ago for me and the bebes.  Which now has a new home in the new nursery.
6. Maybe this quilt can be a homeschooling HUGE flashcard.....no? bad idea? leave me alone!
7. Z is for Zebra and that's good enough for me!

Moving on past my crazy.  I'm excited to get everything all put together before my parents come up for Thanksgiving.  The room is in organized chaos right now, seeing as how I'm not due till January I've turned the room into Christmas wrapping central.  I've got a GOOD chunk of our Christmas shopping done and a decent amount wrapped already.  I'm so glad in December I won't be spending my time at a mall.  I feel like a broken record with how many times I've said I don't want to be at the mall in December but its SO FREAKIN TRUE.

Anyway, I'm too tired to think about any more updates and I'm getting kicked too much to pay attention to much else.

goodbye forevers.

THE HAIR....

I die....I love that she thinks her hair looks AMAZING.

Where everyone tells Dave he's wrong.

We had our 24 week appointment last week.  Can I just say I LOVE my doctor.  He often takes my side without even know what side I'm on.  In the past month or so maybe even two...I've grown numb to the insanity...I have been getting BEATEN from the inside out.  Now...the only real issue I have with this is HELLO...I'm totally nauseous from jiggling all the time.  I'm thrilled that this child is so active and healthy and happy in there.  I've told Dave probably every day since late August that this kid is going to be a handful.  He keeps dismissing me, telling me that it's the second child and I'm just feeling things more because I'm more aware.  He says this child is going to be exactly like the bebes...he's going to be calm and mellow etc etc.  Except Dave doesn't knoooow.  This child's a wonderful crazy wack job of energy.  I'm totally excited and totally terrified for him to make his way in this world.  I'm going to be exhausted after the first few hours I'm certain.

So last week Dr T is trying to check the heartbeat like he always does and hes pushing on my stomach and not getting anywhere, and he pushes again, and then he switches positions and pushes harder which actually hurts but I WILL SURVIVE.  Finally he twists his hand practically backwards on my stomach pins the kids head down and squishes him to one side so he cant move in my stomach.  I think he must have wrestled in high school.  Now yes I was a little "stop squishing my baby" but mostly we got to hear a nice healthy heartbeat so that was good.  He turns to Dave and just says "You guys are going to have your hands full this child is crazy!" And that my friends is why I picked this guy.  We are on the same page...Same wavelength.  Tall, looks like a basketball player African-American doctor who makes TONS of money...and me...average hight pasty white girl who can't afford to eat nachos everyday...LIKE SHE DESPERATELY WANTS TO!  Same wavelength.  I'm sure you can see that?

So anyway as per usual Dave is wrong....of course...I mean seriously...and I...am probably right.  Will we actually know anything anytime soon? No.  Will I have to wait a solid 18 years for the data to come back on this little discussion?  Yes.  Am I patient? You betcha!

In other news I have a scheduled c-section date.  AND a scheduled pre-c-section-hair-eyebrows-pedicure-manicure date.  Lets just hope this little guy sticks around till he's supposed to not like the bebes and her two week earliness.  Not that it was actually her fault.  It was mine; but I'm all about blaming others for my shortcomings.

Halloweenie

I've spent WAY too much time obsessing over what my toddler is going to be for Halloween.  I've narrowed it down to whats practical and whats still available in her size.

I've ordered excessively off the internet today and I can safely say she'll either be a fairy, a lady bug or Minnie Mouse.  I'm already dreading the day when she has an opinion on what she's going to be.  This was hard enough.  I have no interest in spending a lot of money on this adventure either.

I kinda want her to be the generic fairy cause the outfit is so simple and can be used for dress up fun around the house outfits for months.  Also when you come up with these outfits you have to think about shoes...which is annoying.  Minnie Mouse and the lady bug at least need black shoes.  I've got that one covered.  Thank goodness.  The fairy I have no idea what to do.  We'll see what we end up with.

I think I'm stressing because this is her first year trick or treating and YES I know she's going to be herself...aka shy and wont say trick or treat to ANYONE but maybe once she realizes theres a candy reward we won't be so shy.  We'll just wait and see.

I'm actually MORE excited for next year when she'll make us buy her some ridiculous costume that cost a fortune AND I'll get to dress up her little brother.  He might be Yoda...or Batman.  OR Larry the Cucumber.  Because I'm mean and need these pictures for future slideshows...I'm all about the future slideshows recently.

Anyway at this point I think she's set.  I'm not sure what shes going to collect the candy in but I'm assuming a quick trip to Target may solve that problem for me.  And really who doesn't love a quick aka 2 hour long trip to Target.

The Bebes 1st Halloween was about 2 weeks after we'd moved into our new house and we got her those cute hot pink glow in the dark pj's with skeletons on them.  I have the cutest picture of her.  We didn't do much other than pass out candy for the neighbor kids but it was a cute year.  Last year goobs was a little sick and Dave had to work so we stuck around inside and vegged on the couch in a seasonably appropriate shirt...no candy to be had.  Sigh.

.... reminiscing....

I remember Halloweens as a kid.  I don't remember so much the trick or treating.  For that matter I'm not really sure where I did it cause we lived in the country and there weren't a lot of neighbors.  I do however remember the costumes.  This is totally where I fail as a mom because my mother made almost EVERY SINGLE COSTUME for YEARS. In high school she made me a 50's poodle skirt, as a little girl I was a clown and Raggedy Anne and the Statue of Liberty.  I have so many amazing memories of the costumes my mom made me.  Maybe my poor kid will get ONE homemade costume at some point here.  Who knows.

Am I even making sense today?  I'm so loopy.  I think it's time for a sandwich...or a a nap.  I like both ideas.

Gooooodbye

Clip-On Ties....I DIE.

So I've had about like what 3 weeks to let this all sink in.  aka I haven't updated anyone about anything cause I'm sleepy.  BUT...My hormones are playing all happy & nice today.  I've also been doing a little online browsing for baby boy STUFF.

My child is going to be SUCH a weenie.  I mean...a cool weenie...but I can't get over the tweed and the corduroy and the plaid....and the flannel...I'm just gah...I DIE.

Over the weekend I went through just one of the boxes from the bebes and found a few gender neutral things for this little guy.  We have the opportunity to resurrect the "My Dad's a Geek" onesie.  Which makes both Dave and I very happy.  A few yellow and green onesies and some sleepers.  I have a cream and then a blue bundle me wrap up thingamajig.  You'd think I would know what these things are called at least after having one child but alas, I do not.

My list of needs/wants for this little person is growing daily and I'm SO excited to go shopping.  I have made myself a deal though that I'm going to wait till after Christmas merely for the sales.  I can't imagine how much great winter stuff I'll get for pretty cheap after the holidays.  I am however dreading the 9 months pregnant after Christmas mall visit.  Maybe this "recession" will keep people out of the malls the few days after Christmas.  That would be stellar.

As I'm sitting here I'm getting violently kicked.  I'm pretty okay with it though.  I keep telling Dave that this child is WAY more active than the bebes was.  He doesn't believe me, he keeps telling me that its the second time around and I'm just more aware.  My toddler while she has her moments is ridiculously mellow most of the time.  This child is INSANE.  I remember when I was pregnant with Bebes and how the Dr would ask me if I'm feeling any movement and at first I wasn't sure but even when I was sure there wasn't a lot of movement.  This child is active from 8 AM till 10PM EVERYDAY.  I like though...when Dave has opinions about these things...mostly cause i just laugh at him...and complain about how he doesn't get it to my friends.  He likes when I do that. Haha

Side Note: Can we get Katie Perry out of my head please?  I'm kinda over it.

Side Note 2: My new love is hot pasta with cold shredded cheese on it.  It's a texture thing I believe.

I'm creating a calendar of events and projects and activities that need to happen between now and next April. I'm not a paper calendar girl but I did this when the Bebes was born and I actually put it in her baby box.  It showed how much work we put in to making her a space in our lives and I think it just kinda showed how excited we were for her to come home and hang with us...for 18 years.  I keep thinking back to that time and realizing how unprepared we were.  Not so much to have an infant...thats a separate rant all by itself..but how broke we were and how our little girl had a crib next to Dave's seminary books.  Her closet had guitars in it.

This time, she has her own room in a house not an apartment and the new little guy has a nursery all to himself.  Their rooms will be painted and styled according to their cute bedding and individual 'stuff.' I've already got diapers ready to go and a full maternity leave covered with at least partial pay.  I have a sitter set up for when I return to work. I'm already prepared for that event, even though it will be hard.  I am not stressing about all the extra stuff.  I'm sure an almost 3 year old and a newborn will be enough.  I'm glad the rest of it has been pretty much figured out ahead of time.  This time around I'm feeling much more excited and not so nervous about whats ahead of us.....and I have more yoga pants to wear.  Huzzah!

I'm also excited for a glass of red wine.  I remember when I was pregnant the first time my greatest annoyance was that I couldn't drink.  I'm a stickler to the no drinking thing.  I cant imagine if something were to happen or was wrong with this little guy how I could ever NOT blame myself if I had drank during a pregnancy. Anyway my point is: I was DYING for a drink when I got home from the hospital.  Dave and I are drinks with dinner type people so I had a really hard time adjusting to no adult beverages.  This time around I just want that glass of red wine in a 'calm and relaxed hanging out on the couch' sort of way.  Oh and a margarita.  And lunch meat and tons of soft cheese.  SIGN ME UP.  maybe I'll have a soft cheese and lunch meat sandwich with a glass of red wine.  That pretty much sounds disgusting haha.

Okay rant over.  I need a Coke and some french fries, which is ironically what the bebes tries to serve me when shes pretend cooking at home.  I'm not sure if she even knows what a Coke is?

Goodbye forevers.  Maybe if you're lucky I'll stay away...OR...come back more chatty and rambly than before.  Oh rambly...not even a word.

It's a.....

GIANT LEFT FOOT!

and a SUPER SPINE!

and a PROFILE

and a....NOTHER PROFILE!

and a................PENIS...

ew ew ew....

Did not think I would ever say the word penis on my blog....at least not in an appropriate way haha.

Needless to say I'm over the moon.  Dave's pretty thrilled as well.  All afternoon everyone was saying "One of each" which was actually the last thing I would have thought of considering we never planned to stop at two kids, I just think...I wonder what the next one will be?

I do have to say I was floored when the US Tech said boy.  I had a feeling the whole way through she was going to say boy but I still expected to have two little girls running around in matching outfits that I could embarrass them with in future picture slide shows.

We went out yesterday and bought the new little guy a small gift, and over the past weekend we got him 160 diapers with a good in store deal and massive coupons.  Well...because thats just how I roll.  Except I'm not cool enough to roll.  You get the picture.  Anyway those diapers will last us 16 days.  I'm technically responsible for this "child" to legally house and raise him for 6,570 days but hopefully he won't be in diapers that whole time.......

Dave is now excited and discouraged that his excuse NOT to paint the upstairs is no longer valid.  We know what we are having so the painting projects must commence.  I'm thinking a soft yellow or a blue.  I feel a bit cliche with 'blue' but I was feeling the need to paint the room blue whether we had a boy or a girl so I guess I'll just have to get over it.

I'm now going to fall asleep where I sit and not move till we have this child.  Considering how ornery it was during the ultrasound I have a feeling this ones going to give us a run for our money.  Or make me sit in a corner rocking and pulling my hair out.

My weekend...lacking in documentation.

I had a great weekend, did nothing Labor Dayish...Didn't wear white to usher out the changing of the seasons. Didn't celebrate anyone laboring.  I did see a movie which I never do.  Hung out with some friends which I never do.  Ate nachos...which I don't do as often as I say I want to...but heck lets be honest, I do a lot.

We went to Costco, to pick up supplies aka we love Costco and use it as an excuse to shop for whatever...whenever...it's lovely.  We got some Coke Zero.  The Coke Zero cans were PROMOTING THAT STUPID SCHOOL THAT DAVE AND I DISLIKE A LOT.  I wont sully this blog with it's name.  Anyway I was trying to get Dave to be 'shocked and offended' instead he couldn't stop laughing. I'd like to think I'm really funny but he tells me all the time that in fact I am not.

The Goobs has decided my old phone cover is ACTUALLY a real cell phone and it needs to be charged.  She did this ALL weekend long. She would unplug our phones....to plug hers in. Clearly this is a good use of our electricity.

My child...NEVER wants to be photographed.  This picture she BEGGED me to take.  Mommy picture now peas.  It's poorly lit and she's eating only white food? BUT SHES SMILING???  I didn't know this day would come.  I would imagine when #2 gets here and our child will kick in on the jealousy and I'll get tons of pictures of her while I'm trying to take pictures of a newborn.  Either way lets hope this change is for good.  I feel like I've barely documented the last few months of her life.

I have FINALLY set up my ultrasound I'm 19 weeks right now and my appointment isn't until the 21st.  Lets not even talk about how hard its going to be for me to wait that long.  It was originally scheduled for the 13th...aka A FEW DAYS FROM NOW...and of course now I have to wait two weeks.  My life...is so hard...you have no idea.  I'm the queen of the ... today aren't I?

In other pregnancy related news, I feel like I'm finally starting to balance out a bit.  Although every part of me hurts.  I don't remember it being like this the first time around, but my whole body aches.  Every morning I wake up and all I "want" to do is grab some Starbucks and a few Tylenol which I abstain from most of the time.  I learned from the Chicago Tribune that diet soda is the devil so I've almost completely stopped drinking Diet Coke which come on...was a good choice anyway.  I'm eating more healthy and much less healthy this time around.  There is no balance. It's awkward at best.  I do think my water consumption is pretty impressive but I'm not sure if it balances out my need for M&M's.

I think its about time to end my rambling and let Narcoleptic Lindso take over......(this is where I make a corny "zzzzz" noise...just go with it).

goodbye.

I'm still here...

I'm just sleepy and lack anything exciting to say.  Except that my carpet got steam cleaned...except wait thats only interesting to me.  I'll be back after a nap...aka sometime in the next week?

Things I forgot about being pregnant:

1. I loose my voice, although this time around it seems to be more obnoxious and pronounced.  I don't totally loose my voice I just become hoarse and squeaky and my range minimizes.  It really makes me feel amazing when I'm trying to get my child's attention in a store, and I need to yell.

2. I snort.  I know I know...it's sooo attractive but I do.  I snort.  I don't do it on purpose and if I could find the trigger and turn it off I totally would.  Sadly, I cannot so I snort and people laugh at me.  I usually laugh at me too though, cause it's pretty funny.

3.  My tail bone was sent by Satan to make my life a walking H-E-Double hockey stick. Hobbling like a gangsta is really what I was hoping to do while making my way through this procreation process.  Being a pregnant gangsta wife really embodies who and what I am.

4. Haunted limbs.  My leg was haunted for the last two days.  I could barely feel it and the parts I did feel hurt so bad I was crying.

5. Hormones, although I'll amend this one. I don't think I was nearly as psycho with the bebes as I am this time around.  I can't control my emotions AT ALL.  I can rein them in but if I'm angry I'm TICKED OFF the whole day.  You could have looked at me funny and for the next 4 hours I will dislike your pants and your ugly hair and I used to love your hair but now...NOW YOU AND I ARE MORTAL ENEMIES.  I'm so much fun to be around.

6a. My wonderful husband.  I don't honestly remember what he was like when I was pregnant with the bebes. He was working two jobs and I slept a ton so we didn't spend a ton of time together.  I'm sure he was wonderful but this time around he's been super husband and super dad.  If we are out as a family I rarely carry or have to wrangle our two year old.  He just handles it all so I can focus on the shopping or the browsing we are doing.  He helps peel me off the couch when #3 or #4 become an issue, he brings me ice cream and blankets and he has been listening to all of my incessant whining.  He hasn't even complained about my incessant whining.  I think I found a keeper.

6b.  He doesn't mind if I text him from upstairs and ask him to bring me something.  He isn't grossed out when I talk about any weird pregnancy stuff.  He eats nachos almost as often as I want.  He doesn't get upset when there are 4 extra purchases of nachos in a week showing up in our bank account when we shouldn't be spending the money.  Oh and he still thinks I'm cute.

7. I'm still hungry at 11pm...even though I've been asleep on the couch for 4 hours, I still would like a McDonalds run.

8. Prenatal vitimans make me feel all pretty even when I'm not actually feeling all pretty.

9. Counting weeks in increasingly larger food items is actually sort of fun.

10. 45 seconds after having a very intelligent and thought provoking conversation I will completely and totally forget what it was about. Pregnancy brain makes my raging hormones VERY ANGRY.  Which of course you know how that ends.

I think there are probably more things I forgot...but because redundancy is so much fun, I've clearly forgotten them.

Time for nachos?

Annoying Pregnancy Post....

...that really only I care about.

When I was pregnant with the bebes I had 4 specific cravings: Big Macs, Olive Garden Salad, Sautéed Onions, and Iced Tea.  Any day of the week could turn into the perfect day...if I had one of those 4 things.

This time around I couldn't nail down a craving if my entire existence depended on it.  I know I've been harping on nachos but thats just a recent fad.  Bring on the lemonade, the cheeseburgers, the cucumber salad, the tuna noodle casserole.  Peanut butter M&M's, nutragrain bars.  I could probably write prosaically for hours on end about strawberry nutragrain bars.  mmmmm preggo crack.  If something comes in bar form...sign me up, protein bars and quaker oat chocolate bar things...nom nom nom.

Poor Dave almost everything he makes for dinner I turn my nose up at...by the time dinner is over I'm professing my undying love to him for the best meal ever created.  I'm glad he deals with my hormones.  Phew.

I'm totally that classic pregnant woman on TV.  I change my mind halfway through ordering a meal.  I'm annoyed  I'm this generic but at least I know Sookie from Gilmore Girls had the same weird cravings as I do.  Shouldn't you base all your rational thoughts off any random episode of Gilmore Girls?

I think yes.

Nachos?  Anyone?

Wrapping up two crazy weeks

Not sure what this is but shes too funny

Family self portrait done by yours truly...

This morning...marker on her face...goofiest look ever.

Did I mention I locked myself out of the bedroom last week. Slept on the couch till 3:30am when Dave got home from work.

Awesomesauce.

Do I even make sense anymore?

These prenatal vitimans are SUPER and I have pretty nails and hair again which clearly is a very important problem to have.  Except my nails are beautiful and they are annoying to type with...beauty or function...beauty or function.

I'm rocking out to Pandora right now...I'm so exited for payday tomorrow to pick up a few new songs on iTunes.  I might post my few favorite playlists right now.  I'm sort of out of my pop phase which is great because WOW how uninspired was I.

I left my book(s) at home AGAIN today so I'm stuck talking to myself right here...in my little corner of the world.  Hope you all don't mind? :)

I still want some serious nachos.  My plans are to go out and get all the ingredients for nachos and see if I can duplicate them at home.  Lets be honest I have a little addiction to queso and its a great excuse to use my little dipper crock pot thing.  How "Mom" am I?  I do love me some crock pot.  Sign me up and buy me a minivan!  Anyway I think I can replicate the Moes, I just need to make a stop at World Market to get the super amazing thin chips.  That might be all thats missing.

I just ate a yogurt.  I know this will shock you but it tasted NOTHING like nachos.  Sadness is overtaking me.

*Mellow Dramatic?*

The newest Phillipa Gregory book came out in the last week; I get my iPad tomorrow.  I'm semi-coloning those because they go together.  I'm 12 dollars away from my first legally purchased e-book.  My plans for tomorrow evening are to wear my child out by running her around a mall to extreme exhaustion so that she falls asleep on the way home.  Also cause shes so stinkin cute when she falls asleep in the car.  That way I wont be a neglectful mother when we get home and just want to play with my new toy and veg in front of the computer on a Friday night absorbing new music and media.

Nachos?

Are you there?

Yawn.  Sigh.

Goodbye.

Where I rant and then throw in some cuteness to make up for it.

So let me start out by saying...I had one of those REALLY annoying cute weekends.  I went on a date with my husband which I promise...we never do.  I hate when people exaggerate and they are like...we never see each other we don't do things together and then all you hear about is how Angelina Jolie has no privacy...except she can manage to make it to 2-3 premieres a week and has appropriate outfits for those premiers and has what 6 children...lady..YOU...have a nanny...I do not.

Anyway I'm so fabulous when I'm off topic aren't I?  So we went on a date...and we went to the fancy theaters that have the super crazy lazy boy seats and they bring you blankets and amazing gourmet food.  I had these little spinach and artichoke cheese deep fried balls of goodness...and man...I forgot I was even on a date with Dave...

Dave's friend watched the goobs for us Friday night.  He asked that she be fed and in pj's before we left because his skill set really lies in building massive towers out of alphabet blocks and watching them be destroyed by a 2 year old.

Saturday...was the magically day though...Saturday...my child let Dave and I stay in our bedroom...undisturbed till 9:15...NINE FREAKIN FIFTEEN....It was almost like we had a teenager who didn't want to hang out with us...she played in her room for almost 3 hours and left us alone.  Now...you can only imagine what we did with that free time...and you'd be totally wrong..because Dave went back to sleep and I tried to concentrate on a book over his snoring...we are SOOOO ROMANTIC...

The rest of the day was spent in true Lindso OCD style....we got the 3rd bedroom straightened up and in organized chaos...there is now a crib and a changing table...and a huge bookshelf full of junk..but it's one step closer to choosing a paint color and being done with all that craziness.  I know I know...I'm like what 5 minutes pregnant (thanks Mary) but really...we find out what we are having in September...and then its football season..and then the holidays and I promise you...I will NOT be pleasant if I have to smell paint fumes in January with no ventilation...and have to take down Christmas decorations 9 months pregnant...PROMISE.  So I may seem OCD but I'm truly defending this mentality...and telling everyone to lovingly shove it! xoxo super smiley face...obnoxiousness.

Sunday...I had another bout of OCD and was done with my list of activities before 10am....which was awesome...but I was left without a vehicle that housed a car seat so I was unable to free myself from the confines of my home...to forage for nachos...

Lets talk about this for a bit...apparently all I want are nachos...not just any nachos...I don't want to make them from scratch I don't want them as an appetizers at a chain restaurant.  I do not want them from an authentic Mexican hole in the wall fabulous restaurant...no no...I want them from Moe's.  I've now eaten at Moe's a total of 3 times...maybe...maybe only 2?  I don't know...what I do know is that their nachos are heaven on a platter...a plastic platter with a sheet of parchment paper covered in queso...did you hear me NACHOS...oh dear lord...why am I squeezing this into a rant post...these nachos deserve their own pretty bold post dedicated to their fantabulousness.  We went to Moe's last week...and Dave got the nachos...I didn't know about them before this point...I made Dave take me again on Saturday...and then I could barely last 24 hours and I needed them again.  I'm not sure what we are having for dinner but CLEARLY you know what my suggestion will be.  NOM NOM NOM

Okay so I need to get off that topic it's clearly making me wish Moe's was near by...siiiigh

Heres were I usually abruptly end and loose focus and move on to other things...like um...nachos...oooh whatever I give up...

I leave you with this....this happened over the weekend and its ANNOYINGLY cute.  It also has ridiculously bad volume so turn those speakers way up...get ready to hear some mediocre music....and sorry if the video is fuzzy...I'm not a vlogger...mostly cause I hate that word but I also just have my iPhone and its great..but it doesn't translate to this space well.

goodbye forevers....

Hi I'm Socially Awkward!

I told my Aunt while she was ordering her drink from the waitress at the restaurant.

I told my coworkers over my threat to abandon them in January.

I told my babysitter in English.  She mainly speaks Spanish.

I told my parents by throwing a new t-shirt at my toddler and making her wear it alerting us all to her new status.

My sister-in-law found out on accident after everyone knew.

I told my pregnant friends that they weren't alone.

I told my neighbor at 4 weeks because she warned me there was something in the water.  I told her she was right.

My mother-in-law told me after I refused a glass of wine.

I told my husband by shoving a stick I peed on in his face...while he was changing a toddlers dirty diaper.

I told him again with another 3 tests, because I didn't want him to think I was lying.

What can I say I have a way with announcements...nothing but class...nothing but clear planned adorable ways of announcing our impending offspring.

I love being this socially awkward.

Here my friends is our newest little person, due to make an appearance on or before February 2nd!

Hi I'm Team Edward...and I'm a Twihard. "Hi Team Edward"

*delete random rant*...why I even try to be creative...it's beyond me....

I am Team Edward...and I'm a recent convert to the stupid Twilight Saga.  I remember I want to say it was something like 2005 and I was all like "NO I WILL NOT READ HARRY POTTER I WILL NOT READ HARRY POTTER" and then ABC Family had one of the really bad movies on and I was all like DANG IT I'M SUCKED INTO HARRY POTTER.  I HATE YOU ALL.  I've read all the books...multiple times...I've seen and own all the movies...I MAY have been at Barnes and Noble to get the last book at midnight when it came out.  Yep I'm that guy.  Now if you'll flash forward with me its 2010...and I'm all like "NO I WILL NOT READ TWILIGHT I WILL NOT READ TWILIGHT" and its like...I never learn my lesson...Why am I so resistant to pop culture...why do I fight it.  Maybe I'd have more superficial surface friends if I just embraced the fact that I like Lady Gaga and mass produced books written to sell merchandise and YES I WANT A LIFE SIZE CUT OUT OF ROBERT PATTINSON THAT IS SOLD ON NORDSTROM ONLINE.  Maybe I'll buy it with Septembers triple points...and let the bebes figure out why theres a paper man stairing at her while shes changes dollys diaper.

Now...I've invested a great deal of brain power into this new fad of mine...and it doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon and seriously lets just take a moment and talk about the books.  I'm not all that impressed with them.  They are really poorly written.  BUT how on earth do they suck you in.  Every 3-4 pages theres a funny line that actually has me laughing out loud which just makes me seem freaky to those around me but...whatever...I'm just not very impressed with the books.  So I'm not sure how or why I got sucked in but here I am...confused and NOT alone.

Apparently my 20 something married with a kid, had a super annoyingly classic not so annoyingly classic high school experience is OBSESSED with teenagers...and NO I'm not obsessed with all teenagers because 1. they are annoying and 2. that would be creepy....oh and 3. its annoying to stalk creepy people. I just really don't remember high school being so cool.  As previously discussed I have no interest in going to high school reunioins...none at all.  I see all these people on Facebook everyday and am updated instantaniously on their lives.  I dont need to reunion with them to see what's happened promise.  (I just used reunion as a verb...get over it please).  So why do I like these teenagers?  Why am I so into this?  Lets hash it out...maybe I can wrap my brain around it as well.

1. The Bella-Edward relationship makes me love my husband a lot.  I think I imagine that we are them.  Except wow are we not.  But for some reason in my fabulous imaginary head they make sense to me.  Not that Dave isn't great cause he is...but he's no Edward.  I don't really think guys like Edward are out there...that nice combination of stalker, want to bite you, sexy, romantic, guy who lets you be who you are...not sure if hes around....but I like him.  Also lets be honest I'm not Bella...I might be Kristen Stewart when shes off camera and looks mad all the time (on purpose?)...that might be me...but I'm still not that skinny....no do I own that many pairs of shoes and short dresses.

2. I don't understand the Jacob attraction...I mean...hes cute...but hes 19..so I won't say more about that cause EW.....but his character demands so much of Bella...he just seems whiney...he says what he wants...hes open and honest I gotta love the communication...but then he puts all these requests on Bella...Edward doesn't do that.....as much.

3. Edward lets her be friends with Jacob...where as Jacob wants her to just be with him....which we come to find out the weirdness of all of that in the 4th book...but anyway...See Edward 'really' cares for her cause he finally learns to let her be and do what she wants where as Jacob keeps pulling...so in the end...Edward would have to win...and he does...

4.  I'm apparently DYING to see what Bella looks like as a vampire...and I'm really weirded out to see how they pull off the 4th film with marriage, pregnancy, birth, young(er) love, etc etc...the book BARELY makes me okay with all of it...and that was just me using my limited imagination.

I'm assuming that this rant isn't going to have a cohesive and coherent ending so lets just say...I'm pretty sure I'm FINALLY going to see the 3rd movie tomorrow night...and I'm more than a little excited.....and that life size cutout is in the mail.......no thats a lie...Dave would kill me if I bought that....

I'm lame and I'm sorry but I'm lame and I'm not sorry.

I was all like...Oh I should do some sort of cute pictures/wordless weekend thing...except I spent the entire 4th of July weekend inside.  I did get dressed once Saturday night to go to the grocery store, otherwise it was yoga pants and holey t-shirts.  By yesterday afternoon I decided to really make an effort and I put on a "nicer" tshirt for when Dave got home from work.  I really try to impress.

I spent the whole weekend blowing my nose with a wicked annoying sinus infection.  The bebes you could tell was all like "hey mom can I NOT be stuck in this house for 3.5 days and only see sunlight from the windows" but she was a trooper and even stayed out of trouble when I passed out sporadically on the couch.

So this is my boring update I suppose...Maybe I'll be more fun this week.  I finally got some approved sinus meds so my head is a little less crazy a little more lindso...which is pretty much the same thing.

In OTHER news...I just read the last two Twilight books and I'm SOOO Team Edward.  I think I'll write a whole review of that one...because heck what else is there to do with my life...especially after being useless on a three day weekend and getting nothing done.  I don't have priorities...and if I did I would probably blatantly ignore them.

Satin Pig Pants and The Best Hair Style(s) Ever

Almost every morning....3am....the bebes walks into our room....and plays with my cleanish...work out shoes.

This is her reenactment...at the much more pleasing time of 6am?

(Note the Bam Bam meets Civil War solder movie extra from The Patriot hair do...compliments of yours truly)

(Also note: I rarely wake up at 3am for this.  That pleasure goes to my fabulous husband who regularly handles our weirdo kid in the middle of the night....hats off to him...except there are no hats in this scenario?)

Passive Aggressive Time

I didn't invent it.  It's not mine...but I'm using it right now...and you can't have it, use it, claim it as your own.

Imitation is just annoying...its NOT a form of flattery.

Gimme Gimme Gimme Mine Mine Mine...NO NO NO

spanks....xoxo
