I tried to post this 3-4 times but for some reason the pictures weren't posting.
Here's my little guys room.
I'm sort of an initial and monogram freak. I painted these lightweight cardboard letters royal blue and they turned out great. They fell off the wall about 7 times before I got them mounted up there securely. I'm always worried about our hanging skills so I'm nervous to hang things over beds or in places that could fall on an unsuspecting child. These were perfect though because if they did fall they wouldn't hurt a fly. Well maybe a fly but certainly not a Baby Dave.
3D's bedding is from Pottery Barn. No one I show it to is particularly in love with it but I don't really care. The primary colors and bold letters on the bumper keep my 2 month old occupied for nice short periods of time and he seems to really enjoy them. Also his quilt is alphabet and pictures. R clearly stands for rocket. Which brings me to:
My...errr 3D's growing rocket collection. It's expanded exponentially since I took this photo. Bib from Gap, Boppy is Dwell Studio, Rocket Rattle is from Nordstrom (who knew?) and the red Nightlight is from Land of Nod. I really like arbitrary capitalization, thanks for asking.
This little hippo friend is pretty cool. Back in the day....way back in the day, when my mom was pregnant with me she didn't know if she was having a boy or a girl and she worked on this hippo for artwork for my bedroom. She never ended up using it but kept it protected and stored away properly and pulled it out for me to use. It happened to match the room perfectly and I love its vintagEness. Also NO I didn't edit the photo and its crooked...I'm sleepy leave me alone!
This chair my fabulous AD made for me/us when OJ was born. It happens to match 3D's room pretty well so it got relocated when OJ started collecting stuffed animals, toys, & clothes at an alarming rate. The poor chair got an eviction notice. Also...why does everyone go by initials in my family?
The blanket in the changing table also is a hand me down that just happened to perfectly match 3D's room. When I was a little girl, my grandmother knit blankets for all of the grandkids and if you were a girl she would often make your babydolls blankets as well. My 'baby' blanket is in OJ's room which hopefully I'll post pictures of soon, and this blanket in 3D's room is just a little baby doll blanket that my grandma made out of scrapes but its perfect and just the right size for a little snuggle blanket.
