I'm not as lame as I think I am!

Wow it's been a while since I yammered on huh?

Well lets see since we last spoke...well we've never spoke but I'm feeling wordy and you know...yammering...


Since we last spoke we headed back to OHIO to spend some quality time with our families. We didn't get a chance to spend much time with my family but thankfully they are planning on coming up here next month so hopefully it will all equal out. We had a really awesome time with Dave's family cooking and preparing for the party. My MIL made these beautiful table clothes and of course had a beautiful table setting. We got to stick around Sunday and see my BIL get baptized which was a really amazing experience. All around it was a great weekend.



The past few days we've been off together as a family. The bebes had her FIRST birthday which in all honesty was just like any other day except I sat around thinking about 'what I was doing last year....in labor.' The bebes spent a great portion of the birthDay afternoon sleeping because her genius mother made her dr appointment for her actual birthday so she got a few shots and then got a fever and then passed out. We have yet to celebrate her with the classic cake and frosting caked baby...yes caked play on words...anyway we are going to do that tomorrow. This staycation of ours has really kicked my butt we've been so very busy. Our friend Todd came over and we cooked him dinner on Thursday, the last time he was here he was helping us move into the house. I feel like bad friends but honestly we haven't seen anyone in months we've been so overworked and crazed. Friday we got the new monster couch delivered. Pictures to come soon. A little later friends of ours came over and we enjoyed deep fried night. Dave essentially deep fried everything we had in our fridge. It was great to spend time with people seriously our schedules are so insane we barely see each other and we actually had the opportunity to be social.

Yesterday we managed to get a PERFECT day for pictures with another friend of ours. She started up her own photography business and if/when I get her okay I'd be happy to post her website but seeing as I have such a racy controversial site here I'm not sure if she wants to be associated with me. Anyway I'm dying to get the pictures back and see how we all turned out. We headed to downtown Chicago for them and it rained the whole way downtown....cleared up for pictures and then rained the whole way back home. It was seriously meant to be...we were so lucky to get slightly overcast skies and perfect temperatures. Huzzah!

Anyway to wrap up the weekend Dave made me some funnel cake today, roasted asparagus and artichokes....I mean...if that's not a well rounded meal I don't know what is. Oh and there were some strawberries too...

Tomorrow I head back to work and back to the real world. Dave and I are thinking about making a few critical decisions in the near future and that's weighing heavily on my mind. It was nice to take a few days off and just hang out. Although Dave and I fought a lot. I guess that's what happens when you don't see your husband for weeks on end because of crazy work schedules and then are forced...I mean FORCED to spend quality time together. sigh...It was a challenge...or not....
